The Eaux Eaux sink is quite a take on the oceanic wave! Its simple form, in one fluid motion, integrates the spout into the basin. It’s like the flow and ebbing of the waves in a synchronized dance. The base is secured into a recessed counter top while the stainless steel body is glam-ed up with a blush of paint. The overall effect is perfect!

Eaux Eaux is a Bathroom Innovations Award entry.

The Bathboard is a too-good-to-be-true design. It has all the makings of an excellent bathtub; one, which folds up and holds enough water for a good soak. But my only worry is that will the framework take the weight of water + the person using it? For the moment lets just consider this, the tub is made from foam rubber treated to be very elastic and spongy. It weighs less than 3 kgs and juts out only 12-cms from the wall. A flexible drainpipe starts above the central point of the tub, making it easy to fold up. So back again to my question, can we have this design workable for the cause of bathing luxury in limited spaces? If yes, then I surely want one.

The Bathe is a very well thought-out and planned bathtub design. It has accessories and attachments that can be customized as per each family member’s requirements to suit their needs, without any additional fuss. The amazing number of storage and accessibility options makes it the ultimate space-saving fitting! Simply superb!

The Bathe is 2011 Reece Bathroom Innovations Award winner in the professional category.

My mother has this really annoying habit of washing her hair in the kitchen sink. She says it’s a quick-fix when you’re running out of time… I call it being lazy. The downside is that hair usually clogs up the sink and cleaning the sink stopper is plain yuk! I guess it’s for this reason that I love the Crown Pop-up sink stopper idea; the exposed top end stays clean while the root-ish tail end catches the hair and goop. I so need this!

We’ve seen some pretty fancy cans in our time, but perhaps none as tricked out as Kohler’s latest $6,400 john. The Numi does just about everything for you, aside from the stuff that, well, only you can do. Looking something akin to a fancy pop-top waste bin, Numi comes complete with a self-opening and closing lid so you never have to touch the toilet seat; a self-cleaning bidet with adjustable controls for temperature and water pressure; heating elements to keep your toes and tush toasty; an illuminated panel for nighttime rendezvous; a built-in speaker system that connects to a remote docking station to ensure only you know exactly what you’re doing in there; and a deodorizing element that sucks air from the bowl through a charcoal filter. Of course, no connected appliance would be complete without a touchscreen, and the Numi’s no exception; it has a touch panel remote that you can use to set to your specifications. Now, that’s what we call a porcelain throne. Check out the ridiculously lavish promo video after the break.

Let’s just end the debate on the urinal and sink combo right now! I think this time the men folk will be happy about the angle, length and the gradient of the Tandem Urinal – Sink. No back-splash, easy hand washing and bowl cleaning is what we look forward to. Say yo! to water well used.

I am totally captivated by the Luna Faucet! It is such a super sexy curve that has the audacity to compete with the crescent edge of the moon! And guess what, it succeeds in its efforts and is quite a design inspiration. Available in polished chrome and brushed Steelnox satin nickel finishes, I’ll be picking up the faucet and shower combo when I remodel my bathroom.

1ℓimit faucet looks more like an elegant test tube inverted on top of a tap. The glass tube holds exactly one liter of water, sufficient for a quick handwash. The theory being that we waste almost six liters of water and use only one, while washing hands. Once the stored one-liter is used up, you have to turn-off the tap till the next one liter fills up the tube. A cumbersome rationing process that will hopefully drive home the point of conservation!

The Tulip is a revolutionary bath/shower combo designed for small bathrooms. Inspired by tulip blooms, the pod like shape serves as a bath when open and as a shower when closed. In this upright position, the footprint is significantly reduced. This inspired and efficient use of space brings luxury features normally reserved for traditional units into the smallest bathrooms. Underwater jets, massagers and programmable sequences ensure the most relaxing bathing experience. Patent pending and looking for a manufacturer.

The River Flowing System doesn’t give you the chance of wondering if you have it set to flow or tap. The design is such that the showerhead is placed above a basin-esque bowl and the water flows down as a stream. Water pressure and temperature settings are controlled via a centralized knob and showerhead is held into place via magnets. So basically you just turn the shower on and the water cascades down the bowl-lip, giving you the best of both the worlds!
